Thief in the Labyrinthine Garden

Thief in the Labyrinthine Garden

Thief in the Labyrinthine Garden

Like a thief into the dark Labyrinthine Garden stole
a ray of light through murky dusk
Sent from the third moon
to fetch the
Golden
Heart

Fled
from there
the brigands,
from lurking phantoms
skulking through the thorns and bramble;
shades who caressed by light are now only memories

Brighter still the ray becomes as it dances with joy
for the beauty and love it finds
The leery heart looks
upon it.
Hopeful,
glad.

Not
seen since
eons past,
in days before thorns
and waiting beasts took the garden
Now in the twilight she finds a radiant lover

The perfect pair in the center of the maze that only a pure love could penetrate
